Lingerie parties are for girls who want to have fun wearing lingerie  as the theme or tone of the gathering. Theme parties like lingerie parties offer girls and often guys the opportunity to show off their sexy lingerie to their girlfriends or their boyfriends as well. The combination of attractive girls, lingerie, alcohol is a potent combination and particularly if guys are invited. These days theme parties are all the rage as these unique parties can either be a girls night out or a couples party with an erotic and stimulating twist.

When you are trying to decide whether to have a theme party this is the time to ponder if a lingerie party is being considered and if so should it entail inviting all girls or girls and guys. Since you need to send out invitations either formally or by email or phone calls it is essential to know what the ground rules are and if guys are invited. Unlike a birthday party for kids or a dinner party for married couples a lingerie party needs some ground rules in order to insure that a good time is had by all and no misunderstandings occur.  Some might assume that the party is to sell lingerie much like tupperware or similar parties. Some girls may have no interest in wearing lingerie to a mixed party of guys and girls or even one where only girls will attend.

As you know there is lingerie and then there is sexy lingerie and the invited girls need to know what to wear to the party and you need to know what to do if girls show up not wearing lingerie.  If you truly want girls to wear lingerie is it going to pajamas or short shorts or sheer babydolls and bra and panty sets. If you decide to leave it up to the girls what type of lingerie they are going to wear you may be disappointed particularly if you have a certain dress code in mind. Lingerie parties, like costume parties have the inevitable participants who chicken out at the last minute for any variety of reasons. Girls may love the idea of wearing lingerie to a party and then again they may go along to get along but have little desire to show off to their girlfriends. Whether it be body image issues, modesty or unwillingness to expose themselves be sensitive to the girls who may simply not show up rather than admit that wearing panties, corsets or bra sets to a party is not their idea of a good time. So a lingerie party has a planning element that most other parties with the exception of sexy costume parties have in having invited guests wear the required outfits. So you have a decision to make, do you make wearing lingerie mandatory or optional? Also do you have guys on the invited list or not?

The final decision is yours but the rules may ultimately determine how successful the party is and who attends? One suggestion is to make wearing lingerie a requirement to attend and have a list of allowable garments. In this scenario it may be best to allow girls to wear conservative lingerie including p.j.’s or cami tops and boy shorts so that as many of your girlfriends attend as possible but not so restrictive that girls are reluctant to show as they simply don’t want to wear revealing lingerie. One suggestion is making it clear that anyone who appears not wearing lingerie will be allowed to choose from garments chosen by the host. Encourage guests to contact the host to be clear as to what can and can’t be worn. Since the objective is to have fun the best method is to encourage participation but not to make it a party no one wants to attend. Ultimately the more time spent in planning the more fun the girls will have. Also leaving boys out of the mix may allow everyone to dress naughtier without the fear of having strange guys leering at them in their panties.

One great idea is to have prizes for the best lingerie outfit, sexiest outfit and the most boring sleepwear or something alone those lines. All in good fun, guests will likely enjoy the festivities if there are some planned events rather than just show up and we will look at you in your underwear. As always a little bit of margaritas, mai tais or shooters may make up for a lack of planning but again it depends on the type and quality of a party you would like to have.

Consider how inhibited your group may be and act accordingly. If you group of friends are the type that can’t find a sexy halloween costume slutty or trashy enough then they may jump the shark when it comes to their lingerie outfit. On the other hand if you haven’t seen a girlfriend in her lingerie or have no idea what she thinks about a lingerie party then it is a good idea to ask beforehand. One of the reasons a lingerie party may be a hit is that many girls haven’t attended one or at least a good one. On the other hand many may not have attended simply because they feel uncomfortable wearing lingerie in a semi public environment. It would not hurt polling your friends to see what consensus arises when it comes to the “dress code”.

Next, are men allowed and if so what are they to wear? Allowing men to attend may be a great idea but then are they required to be with a girl and if so are they to also wear “lingerie”. While it is up to you the point is to plan as much as possible and guys can make the party more fun as the sexual tension and energy will be unmistakable. There is a big difference between a couples party, girls only and the last option which is single girls, single guys and couples. This is all a decision you must make before the party begins and the decision will help determine how successful the party becomes.

Don’t make the mistake of simply having girls, guys or both show up, have them mingle and drink and listen to music. Consider having everyone play games or have some entertainment provided to keep the people involved and enjoying themselves.

Games: Sock Game- Get over to your local sex store and purchase some inexpensive gifts that are in unusual shapes, weights. Put them in some socks that completely disquise what is inside and have the participants blindfolded and try to tell what is in the sock with their hands or even better their feet. Whoever guesses what is in the sock gets to keep the contents or pick from the others that were not guessed.

Hot Potato or Hot Lingerie: This is a variation of my favorite children’s game where everyone sits in a chair, music plays and when the music stops there is a mad scramble to get a seat. Here the item is in a box or bag and cannot see what is inside. Start the music and when it stops the person holding the box must wear the item that is in the box. Consider how fun this can be when a guest must wear a strap on dildo or perhaps a sheer top for the rest of the party.

Brown Bag Girls: Pass out a brown paper bag or similar item to all guests. No further instructions are given other than: Please put the bag over your head. Now tell them to remove something you don’t need. Some will realize that they don’t need the bag while others may remove a watch, robe, belt or shoes or ?????? The winner is the one or perhaps ones who remove an article of personal jewelry or even perhaps a pair of panties or even a bra.

Consider having a person who comes to your home to give a sex toy party attend the party. Have them appear fairly early as they may not want to be around when the group has had their third drink and is feeling little pain. As an ice breaker having the girls handle sex toys, vibrators, oils and creams may be great fun but should not be the main reason for the party. Inform them ahead of time as they may not want to participate and show up after the sex toy portion or may want to attend and want to have some handy cash available.

Male dancers are also a potential great or not so great idea. One party I attended had a male dancer but no one was alerted ahead of time. He was a great dancer, great body, well endowed and it seemed all the girls were having a great time. One girl though was mortified, extremely upset and ultimately caused the party to be a disaster. Be sure to give the girls the courtesy of a warning that a male dancer will attend and he will strip down to a thong or will give lap dances or whatever. Be sure you set the ground rules beforehand for the dancer as the combination of alcohol, women in skimpy lingerie and one man in a small thong could be exciting if you know what I mean.

Planning is the key and will ultimately result in a fun environment that the girls will remember for a long time and will be the source of pictures ( be sure you have plenty of cameras available) as well as stories about that time you have a lingerie party!
